In Parliament

There are a number of ways that a Member of Parliament can express their views about a particular issue, or represent the concerns of a constituent or local organisation. As well as meeting with and/or writing directly to Ministers about specific policy issues, I am able to ask written and oral Parliamentary questions. I can speak at length, or make brief interventions, during Parliamentary debates. For details of when I have spoken in Parliament, please use this search engine, or check through the Archives section of my website. Additionally, I can sign Early Day Motions (EDMs). A list of the EDMs I have signed can be found here.
You can find out more about how Parliament works by visiting the official UK Parliament website. Younger people might like to look at the Explore Parliament website.

Details of how you can visit Parliament can be found here. Alternatively, you can contact my Westminster office on 020 7219 4608, and I will endeavour to make arrangements for you.
